aka Act of Revenge / Scorpion's Kiss. Annabella Allori (Margie Newton),a big city lawyer from Rome, has come to a small town in Verbania to attend the last moments of her dying younger brother Gabriele at a hospital. Doctor in attendance Dr. Carlo (Helmut Berger) tells Annabella that Gabriele is dying from an overdose of heroin. During his last breath, Gabriele tells his sister Annabella to find a casette tape hidden in the bookshelf of the mansion he was staying in. Gabriele has recorded in the casette the circumstances and events leading to his own death and the death of their mother Giovanna. Annabella sets up a lawyer's office in Verbania and plans to avenge the deaths of his brother and mother. Soon many of the town's eminent persons and dignitaries from the mayor, a count, a pharmacist (Gabriele Tinti) to the town's priest begin to die one by one.
