A handsome tutor Paolo arrives at the villa of a rich but sickly Count Umberto to teach History and Literature to Cristina, the Count's daughter, who is nursing a leg injury. The Count's bitchy adulterous wife Amalia, stepmom of Cristina, begins to seduce Paolo on the very first night of his arrival. In the course of learning lessons from Paolo, Cristina falls in love with him much to the chagrin and envy from Countess Amalia. The Countess plots to kill her husband Umberto and stepdaughter Cristina for her inheritance after their deaths but Paolo stands in her way.
